Fouras

At the mouth of the Charente, the peninsula of Fouras les Bains extends over 4 kms.
It offers visitors five fine sandy beaches and three ports to relax in a magnificent setting where holm oaks and pines follow one another. A restful setting.

Numerous exhibitions as well as a Museum are proposed to the visitors, they trace the history of the city.

The particularity of the city of Fouras is that it is protected thanks to the numerous Forts which surround it:

• The Fort Boyard
• The Redoubt of the Needle
• Fort Enet
• The Fort la Pointe known as Vasou
• The Vauban Fort

Each of these forts has a story of its own.
